Thin Quarter-Repeater Robert & Courvoisier, La Chaux de Fonds, No. 24870. Made circa 1815. Very fine and rare, thin, large, quarter-repeating, 18K rose gold pocket watch with visible movement. To be sold without reserve
C. Two-body, "Directoire", polished, concave bezel, concealed hinge. Spring-loaded gilt-metal cuvette. D. Annular white enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, the center with aperture exposing the movement. Blued steel skeletonized hands. M. 51 mm., 22 1/2''', frosted gilt, full plate, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, index regulator, polished steel bridge, repeating on gongs actvated by depressing the pendant, polished steel repeating work on the backplate. Dial and cuvette signed. Diam. 61 mm.
