Furet, Horloger du Roy à Paris, No. 1437. Made circa 1780. Very fine, 20K gold and champleve enamel, dumb quarterrepeating pocket watch with calendar.
C. Two-body, ?bassine?, the back finely decorated withy champleve enamel in a trellis pattern, the border and bezel decorated with alternating black and white champleve enamel circles and lozenges. Gilt brass dust-cap. D. White enamel with gilt Breguet numerals, outer star minute divisions and gilt fifteenminute numerals, inner calendar ring. Gold Breguet hands, gold heart calendar hand. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, cylinder escapement, plain brass threearm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece, repeating on the case activated by depressing the pendant. Dial-plate edge, dust-cap and movement signed. Diam. 49 mm.
