Notes

Precious Cat's Eye, or Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl has long been coveted by collectors for its beauty and rarity. Another variety of the same mineral species of chrysoberyl is Alexandrite, which has also been a favorite of gem enthusiasts, for the same reasons. While precious cat's eye is usually found in a honey color, exhibiting the much relished "eye", or chatoyant effect, alexandrite is noted for its color change, exhibiting various shades of red changing to green, depending on the light source. Lt 524 is a rarity of nature whereby both of these characteristics are combined in one stone! This chrysoberyl exhibits the precious "eye" and changes color-possessing the best of all that the mineral species has to offer!
