Grasset Patent Barrel-less Watch Isaac Grasset Patent, Genève, No. 732. Made circa 1910. Fine and rare, gun-metal and gilt keyless pocket watch without mainspring barrel built to the design of Swiss Patents No. 5019 and 14528.
C. Three body, "bassine et filets" polished with gilt bezel-rim, hinge and bow. Glazed gilt-rimmed cuvette for viewing the movement. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Gilt Louis XV hands. M. 18''', gilt brass, 13 jewels, the mainspring rolled around the winding shaft, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Movement with Swiss Patent numbers 5019 & 14528. Diam. 53 mm.
