Cercles Tournants French. Made circa 1780, the movement signed Voisin a Paris, made circa 1710. Fine, small, Louis XVI, gilt bronze, urnform ?cercles tournants? table clock.
C. Gilt-bronze urn with flower swags, lid to match with leaf finial, lion mask and ring handles, raised on a fluted pillar with square gilt-bronze base. D. Revolving hour ring set with white enamel panels for the Roman hour numerals, engraved flowerheads between. Gilt-bronze serpent with arrow tongue pointer to read the time. M. 46 mm., watch movement, gilt brass full plate, silver and brass vase-shaped pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm balance, short balance spring, pierced and engraved gilt brass cock, rack and pinion regulator with foliate feet. Movement signed Voisin a Paris. Dim. 26 x 9 x 9 cm.
