King Carol of Romania Presentation Watch L. Leroy & Cie, Paris, No. 47603. Made circa 1910. Fine and rare, silver, keyless pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph, presented by King Carol I of Romania to his valet.

Four-body, ?bassine?, polished, the back cover engraved with the cipher of King Carol below a crown, gold olive-shaped button at 1 o?clock for the split-seconds, start/stop of the chronograph activated by depressing the crown. Hinged silver cuvette. D. White enamel, black Arabic numerals, outer minute track, outermost fifths of a second chronograph divisions, red painted Arabic seconds numerals 25-300, subsidiary seconds. Black steel spade hands. M. 19???, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 15 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette signed. Diam. 53 mm.
