Gold & Enamel French, goldsmith?s mark GT. Made circa 1820. Fine, 18K gold and champleve enamel snuff box.

C. Two-body, rectangular, the base decorated with an engineturned panel in a trellis pattern, outer applied polished stylised foliate border, outermost inclined border decorated with dark blue champleve enamel, engine-turned sides with dark blue champleve enamel edging and stiff-leaf corners, hinged lid with a central applied gold and royal blue enamel monogram in an oval reserve with champleve enamel border, chased foliage, outer dark blue champleve enamel and polished gold border.
