Minute Repeater & Chronograph B. Poitevin, Fabt, movement No. 45677, case No. 38941, retailed by S. Fernandez Y cia Importadores, Buenos-Aries. Made for Ramon Gutierrez, circa 1900. Very fine and rare, heavy and large, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased, keyless pocket watch with chronograph.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine", polished, the front cover decorated with an applied gold monogram. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute track and outermost fifths of a second divisions with red painted Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds with red numerals. Gold Louis XV hands. M. 19???, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 35 jewels, wolf's tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band, visible chronograph mechanism. Cuvette signed by the maker & retailer, signed on the front plate beneath the dial, dial with owner's name. Diam. 54 mm.
