Minute Repeating & Chronograph Mons B. Poitevin & V. Lejeune, L. Gironde Succr., 22 Rue Vivienne, Paris, No. 51858, case No. 43441. Made circa 1890. Very fine, 18K pink gold, minute-repeating, keyless pocket watch with chronograph and register.
C. Four-body, ?bassine et filet?, the back cover with black enamel foliate monogram. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel, radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals, outermost fifths of a second divisions, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials. Gold spade hands. M. 19???, frosted gilt, 29 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with peripheral temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Cuvette signed. Diam. 53 mm.
