Split-Seconds with Diablotine F. Guédin, Geneva, No. 11262. Made circa 1870. Very fine and rare, heavy, 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased keyless pocket watch with two-train independent splitseconds chronograph and 1/4 second diablotine.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", engine turned and polished covers and reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette with engineturned border. D. White enamel, narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, outermost seconds divided into quarters, subsidiary quarter-second jump diablotine. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 20''', nickel, 30 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, tandem winding, heart-piece on the back plate. Dial, cuvette and movement signed, case numbered. Diam. 56 mm.
