Cloisonne Dial ? Chasse à Courre Eska Watch Co., Swiss. Made in the early 1950's. Fine and rare, center-seconds, self-winding, 18K pink gold wristwatch with cloisonné enamel dial depicting a medieval huntsman on horseback.
C. By Eggly & Cie, two-body, polished, inclined bezel, straight lapidated lugs. D. Polychrome cloisonné enamel on gold, with counter enamel, No. 11, by Nelly Richard, ordered from Stern Freres based on a design from 1949, depicting a medieval huntsman fox-hunting on horseback, with his dog, applied yellow gold faceted ?fancy? hour markers and Arabic quarter-hour numerals on an outer brushed reserve. Gilt alpha hands. M. 11???, copper-colored, within a metal ring, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating blued steel flat balance spring, shock absorber, index regulator, buffered rotor. Dial, case and movement signed. Back of the dial with maker?s mark and numbered by the artist under the counter enamel. Diam. 33 mm. Thickness 11 mm.
