Guinand Split-Seconds Chronograph Ch. Léon Guinand, Locle, No. 38771. Made circa 1900. Fine, keyless, 14K pink gold open face pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph and 30 minute register.
C. Four-body, ?bassine?, polished, hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute and outermost 1/5th seconds chronograph divisions, red 5 minute interval numerals, inset subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minute register. Blued steel spade hands. M. Cal. 18''', rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, split-seconds mechanism under the dial. Dial and movement signed, case numbered. Diam. 49 mm.
