Longines Single Button Chronograph Longines, 2978469. Made circa 1925. Fine and rare, sterling silver wristwatch with single button chronograph on the crown and register.
C. Four-body, solid, polished, hinged case back, silver cuvette, rounded bezel, straight lugs, screwed bars. D. White enamel with painted Breguet numerals, outer 1/5th seconds track with 5-minute/seconds red Arabic markers, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minutes register. Blue steel epee hands. M. Cal. 1333, gilt brass, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, the coaxial single button on the winding crown is for start-stop and return to zero functions of the chronograph. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 12 mm.
