Three-body, Empire-style, bezel set with split-pearls, reeded band, the back cover decorated with a finely painted on enamel bouquet of flowers including peonies, roses and poppies, translucent royal blue enamel ground over engineturning, split-pearl-set border. D. White lacquer with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Gold Louis XVI hands. M. Cal. L878.4, 17???, frosted gilt, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating flat balance spring, shock absorber, screw micrometer regulator. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 43 mm.
