Rabby a Paris. Rabby à Paris. Made circa 1720. Fine, Régence, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking Boulle bracket clock.
C. Straight-sided, inlaid with brass, tortoiseshell and colored mother of pearl in the Boulle manner, gilt bronze foliate mounts, scroll feet, urn finial on three hoof feet, the interior inlaid in the Boulle manner, glazed sides. D. Gilt brass with engraved foliage and strapwork, blue radial Roman numerals on white enamel cartouches, outer individually numbered minute numerals. Steel foliate hands. M. 15 x 13 cm., gilt brass, baluster pillars, going barrels for both trains, anchor escapement, silk suspension, brass bob pendulum, outside countwheel striking on a bell mounted in the top of the case. Movement signed. Dim. 61 x 30 x 16 cm.
