Constant Piguet Four Hammer Carillon Minute-Repeating Constant Piguet, Le Sentier, No. 3114, Swiss patent No. 11948. Made circa 1910. Very fine and very rare, 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased, keyless, minute-repeating pocket watch with carillon chime with four hammers on four gongs.
C. Four-body, bassine et filet, engine-turned with polished borders. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel, dauphine numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 45 mm., 20???, matte gilt, 32 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with terminal curve, index regulator, repeating on four gongs with four polished steel hammers activated by a slide on the band. Movement punched with Constant Piguet?s patent number. Diam. 55 mm.
