Henri Huguenin Watch with 6 Complications Henri Huguenin, Locle, No. 1629. Made circa 1890. Very fine and rare, large, 18K yellow gold, minute-repeating, keyless, hunting-cased pocket watch with triple date calendar, chronograph and moon phases.
C. Four-body, bassine et filets, massive, engine-turned with polished borders. Hinged gold cuvette with engineturned border, glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and fifths of a second chronograph divisions, Arabic five second numerals to 300 units, subsidiary dials for the date, days of the week and the months, seconds with inner moon phase aperture. Gold Louis XV hands. M. 20"', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 35 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, visible chronograph work, repeating on gongs with two polished steel hammers activated by a slide on the band. Cuvette signed. Diam. 59 mm.
