Gerold Jeanneret Minute Repeating Pendant Watch Gerold Jeanneret, La Chaux-de-Fonds, "Repetition a Minutes", No. 1310. Made circa 1900. Very fine and rare, minute-repeating, 18K pink gold and painted on enamel lady?s keyless pendant watch.
C. Four-body, bassine, engraved band, the hinged and sprung front cover decorated with a painted on enamel scene of Venus and cupids signed E.V., royal blue translucent enamel border with engraved gold decoration, the back cover decorated to match with a central painted on enamel scene of two cupids. Hinged gold cuvette, glazed gold-rimmed cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Black spade hands. M. 12???, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs with two polished steel hammers activated by a slide on the band. Cuvette signed. Diam. 34 mm.
