C. three-body, polished with initials on the back, chased and engraved band, pendant in a shape of two exotic birds. D. matte silver, applied gold radial Arabic numerals with applied gold "fleur-de-lys" five-minute markers. Gold elaborate hands. M. 12 size, nickel, bridge caliber with spotting decoration on the pillar plate, 19 jewels, the top ones in gold settings, 8 adjustments, gold train, straight line lever escapement, recessed cut-bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, blued Breuet balance spring, spring-loaded micrometric regulator.Signed on the dial, case and movement.Diam. 44.8 mm.

Around 1920, the majority of American watch companies began producing expensive models similar to Waltham's "Premier Maximus". In 1922, Elgin produced the C.H. Hulburd in a special case, of which no two were alike. These watches were the thinnest of all the models made by American watch companies.
