C. four-body, "bassine", polished covers, engine-turned band, hinged cuvette with apertures for winding and setting. D. white enamel, double sunk, Roman numerals, outer minute ring, sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "American Spade" hands. M. 18 size, gilt, 3/4 plate, 18 jewels, top ones in screwed settings, straight line long lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, engraved balance cock with diamond endstone.Signed on the dial and movement. Movement also engraved "Patented Nov. 30, 1858". Diam. 53.9 mm.
