E. Howard, Boston, K Series, No. 3011, circa 1861.Extremely rare and fine, silver, hunting-cased pocket watch.

C. four-body, "bassine et filets", engine-turned covers, reeded band, hinged silver cuvette with engine-turned ring around the border and winding and setting apertures. D. white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute ring, subsidiary sunk seconds. Blued steel, Howard "Spade" hands with polished faces. M. K size, gilt brass 3/4 plate, 15 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement with divided lift, however most on the pallets, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel flat balancespring, engraved cock and escape bridge.Signed on the dial and movement. Movement engraved with Reed's patent Nov. 24, 1857.Diam. 50 mm.
