Jaeger Art Deco Elephants Jaeger, Suisse. Made circa 193. Fine and very rare, bakelite, jade and chromed, 8-day going, Art Deco table clock.
C. Bakelite flanked by two carved jade elephants on bakelite blocks, stepped chromed base, the winding crown in the base. D. Octagonal, white painted chapter ring with radial Roman numerals, flowerheads between, black center and outer border. Gilt pear hands. M. Rhodium-plated, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed. Dim. 85 x 97 x 46 mm.
