LOUIS AUDEMARS PERPETUAL CALENDAR QUARTER REPEATING CHRONOGAPH RETAILED BY LEROY & FILS Louis Audemars, No.13212, retailed by LeRoy & Fils, Horlogers de la Marine, Palais Royal, 13 et 15 Galerie Montpensier, Paris and 211 Regent Street, London, No. 55006. Made circa 1880. Very fine and rare, 18K pink gold, open-face, quarter-repeating, moon phase, astronomical, keyless, perpetual calendar pocket watch with chronograph.

C. Four-body, polished, gold hinged cuvette. Flat band with repeat slide and inset calendar adjusters, reverse with decorative blue enamel initials SMC. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer minute track, outermost five-minute numerals, subsidiary dials for days of the week, months of the leap year cycle, days of the month and aperture for the phases of the moon and age of the moon. Gold spade hands. M. 42 mm, gilt brass, steel chronograph levers, 36 jewels, compensated straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel overcoil balance-spring. Repeating and striking on two coiled steel gongs via polished steel hammers. Case stamped with Louis Audemars makers mark and numbered, also stamped with casemaker initials M.F (Meylan Freres), cuvette signed LeRoy & Fils and numbered. Diam. 55 mm.
