Notes

Cloisonne enamel clocks from the 1950 sand 1960s are extremely rare. Produced in very small quantities by manufacturers such as Imhof and Angelus, they were the best one could buy in terms of quality and price. Koi fish, favored by the Japanese as integral parts of garden and pond designs (Koi in Japanese is a homophone of the word for love and affection), they have also become extremely popular worldwide in tattoo art. This is the first time a Koi-themed clock has appeared at auction.
