Hinged gold cuvette concealing the erotic automaton scene in polychrome painted on enamel depicting Mephistopheles, a gentleman, and a lady on an engraved silvered backplate. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, oute minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gilt Louis XV hands. M. Cal. 20???, rhodium plated, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Movement signed under the hour hammer. Diam. 53 mm.
