E. Gubelin - Watch with 8 Complications E. Gübelin, Horloger, Lucerne, No. 72598. Made circa 1910. Extremely fine and rare, large, 18K yellow gold, minuterepeating, hunting-cased, keyless pocket watch with chronograph, perpetual calendar, phases of the moon and lunar calendar.
C. Four-body, bassine, polished, push button for the start/ stop and return-to-zero of the chronograph at 12. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute track, outermost chronograph divisions with fifths of a second divisions and Arabic five second/minute numerals, four subsidiary dials for days of the week, date, months concentric with leap year indication, seconds and aperture for the phases of the moon, lunar calendar on the edge. Gold pear hands. M. 46 mm, 21''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 35 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with platinum and gold temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator with polished steel scale, repeating on gongs with two polished steel hammers activated by a slide on the band, centrifugal governor. Cuvette signed. Diam. 57 mm.
