Aimé Billon ? Grande & Petite Sonnerie Pendule Portative Aimé Billon, Swiss, No. 2001. Made in Neuchatel, circa 1820. Very fine and rare, gilt bronze, Grande and Petite Sonnerie striking and repeating Pendule d'Officier 8-day traveling clock with alarm.

Gilt bronze, with paw feet, engine-turned bezel, the pediment with chased foliate decoration, the front and top with cast and chased flowers and foliage, side panels chased with lyres, folding leaf handle at the top. d. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions and gold Arabic fifteen-minute numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Circular gilt brass with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, steel three-arm balance mounted on the backplate, flat balance spring, index regulator, quarter striking and repeating on two bells with the striking train fitted on the back plate, cord release for repeating at will; pull-wind alarm with separate train, Grande/Petite Sonnerie/Silence lever in the base. Dial and case signed. Dim. 21.5 x 14.3 x 10.5 cm
