Gub ? Two-Day Marine Chronometer Glasshütter Uhrenbetriebe Glasshütte/Sa. (GUB), No. 11453, retailed by C. Plath, Hamburg. Made in the 1960s. Fine, mahogany two-day marine chronometer with Guillaume's integral balance.
C. Two-body, with brass handles, glazed upper section with applied retailer?s plaque, brass bowl and gimbaled suspension. d. Matte silvered with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and power reserve indication. Polished brass spade hands. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars secured by screws, 11 jewels, reversed fusee with chain and maintaining power, Earnshaw spring detent escapement with jeweled locking stone, two-arm Guillaume anibal-brass integral balance with cylindrical weights and two mean time adjusting nuts, free-sprung alloy helical balance spring with terminal curves. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 18.5 x 18.5 x 18 cm.
