Ekegren Platinum Minute-Repeating Dress Watch H. R. Ekegrén, Geneva, No. 78948. Made by Ed. Koehn, Geneva, for J.E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia, circa 1915. Very fine and rare, thin, platinum, keyless minute-repeating dress watch.
C. Three-body, ?bassine?, polished, with flat monogrammed back. d. Matte silver, painted dauphine numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Black Breguet hands. m. 38 mm. (17???), rhodium-plated, 29 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with 8 adjustments, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 44 mm.
