1/4 secondes Foudroyantes Attributed to Edouard Perregaux, Locle, case No. 5912. Made for the American market, circa 1870. Very fine 18K gold, hunting-cased pocket watch with double-train independent center seconds and 1/4th second diablotine.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", by J.T.S & Co., polished, reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette with engine-turned border. D. White enamel, radial narrow Roman numerals, outer minute track, outermost seconds divided into fourths, subsidiary quarter-second jump diablotine. Blued-steel Breguet hands. M. 20''', nickel, 23 jewels, pallet fork and escape wheel with gold caps, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, two-train, independent seconds activated by a push piece in the band. Case punched J.T.S & Co. Diam. 55 mm.
