Swiss Quarter-Repeating Watch Swiss, No. 8472. Made circa 1825. Fine, quarter-repeating, 18K gold pocket watch with gold dial. To be sold without reserve
C. Four-body, empire, mastermark ?IE?, engine-turned, flat band. Hinged gilt metal cuvette. D. Gold with polished radial Roman numerals on a matted ground, outer minute divisions on a polished reserve, engine-turned center. Blued steel serpentine hands. M. 47 mm., matte gilt, standing barrel, jeweled cylinder escapement with steel escape wheel, three-arm gold balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator with bimetallic temperature compensation curb, repeating with two polished steel hammers on two square-section gongs. Case and movement numbered. Diam. 53.5 mm.
