Two-body, Louis XVI, the back finely painted on enamel depicting a young lady with a letter and her daughter in a landscape, Royal blue guilloche background, white and gold paillon border, the bezels with royal blue, white and gold paillon decoration. d. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and Arabic five-minute numerals. Gold beetle and poker hands. m. 38 mm., hinged, gilt brass full plate with turned pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, plain brass three-arm balance, continental cock with polished steel endplate, silvered regulation dial. Dial and movement signed, case numbered on the pendant. Diam. 46 mm.
