Casey Stengel Award Presented to Joe Dimaggio Imexal, Swiss, Triple Date Calendar & Moon Phase Desk Clock. Made in 1973, presented to Joe DiMaggio as the Casey Stengel Award on January 27th, 1974. Fine and very rare, gilt brass, 8-day going, desk clock with triple date calendar, moon phases and alarm. Accompanied by a 8? x 10? black and white photo taken at the presentation and a Letter of Provenance.

Silvered with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, three subsidiary ring dials for the date, days of the week and the months, aperture for the moon phases. Brass arrow hands. M. 24???, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic compensation balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial and case signed. Joseph Paul "Joe" DiMaggio (November 25, 1914 ? March 8, 1999) An American baseball player who played centerfield for the New York Yankees, was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955.His two brothers, Vince and Dom, also became major league center fielders. A 3-time MVP winner and a 13-time All-Star, DiMaggio was the only player to be selected for the All-Star Game in every season he played. During the thirteen years of his career, the Yankees won ten pennants and nine world championships. When he retired, he had the fifth-most career home runs (361) and sixth-highest slugging percentage (.579) in history. DiMaggio is perhaps best known for his 56-game hitting streak (May 15?July 16, 1941); his record still stands
