P. Piguet Capt, Brassus, Swiss, No. 139927. Made circa 1895. Fine, nielloed silver, openface, keyless pocket watch commemorating the Tir Cantonal Vaudois in Yverdon in 1899. To be sold without reserve
C. Four-body, massive, "demi-bassine", bezel and band with grapevine and grapes decoration, the back decorated with a soldier waiving his hat in front of the Chateau d'Yverdon (hinge broken). Hinged silver cuvette. D. White enamel with black Arabic numerals, outer minute track with Arabic 5 minute markers, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel hands. M. 41 mm., 18"', rhodium-plated, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed. Diam. 53 mm.
