C. Four-body, "bassine", heavy, cast and chased with oak leaves and acorns, similarly decorated trefoil bow, hinged back cover cast and pierced with a lion rampant within gothic tracery. Hinged gold cuvette chased with foliage and flowerheads overlaid with translucent red enamel in a Gothic border revealed through the pierced back. D. White enamel, large black Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. M. 17''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, double stamped with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer adjustment to the regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 49 mm.
