Hermès Desk Compendium Hermès, Paris, No. 1253, the movement by Luxor, Swiss. Made circa 1960. Fine and rare, gilt-brass and lacquered, 8-day going, desk clock with alarm, date, thermometer and barometer.
C. Rectangular, gilt-brass, the top, side panels and base painted to simulate walnut, square feet, hinged back door with the Hermès logo. D. Brushed gilt with applied gilt conical indexes and baton quarter-hour indexes, thermometer to the left and barometer to the right, aperture for the date at 6. Gilt dauphine hands. M. 22???, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed Hermès, Paris, movement signed Luxor. Dim. 18.7 x 9.7 x 5 cm.
