F. Junod ? Pierrot Ecrivain Musical Automaton F. Junod, Swiss. Made as a replica of a 19th century automaton circa 1990. Very fine, musical automaton figure of Pierrot seated at a desk writing a letter with a quill pen and working oil-lamp. Accompanied by the traveling case and spare wick for the lamp.

Key-wound, the seated figure of Pierrot moving his right arm to write, his left to light the lamp and moving his head, wooden desk and chair, on a parquet floor base, start/stop pull in the back of the figure. Signed under the base. Dim. 40 x 36.5 x 24.5 cm.
