Miniature Carriage Clock with Porcelain Panels French, No. 2443. Made circa 1890. Fine, miniature, gilt brass, 8-day going carriage clock with painted on porcelain panels.

Gilt brass, "anglaise", fluted columns, the sides set with painted on porcelain panels depicting a young lady filling her jug at a fountain and a young lady feeding the chickens, glazed back door, the top glazed to view the escapement, hinged carrying handle. D. Painted on porcelain with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, decorated with a landscape to match the sides. Blued steel hands. M. Rectangular, gilt brass, four pillars, barrel for the going train, cylinder escapement mounted on a matte silvered platform, plain three-arm balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Dim. 78 x 53 x 49 mm. excluding handle. Property of a French Collector
