Guinand, Silver Oignon Guinand a la Neuveville. Made circa 1690. Fine, silver, Louis XIV single-hand oignon watch wound through the centre.
C. Double-body, silver, back and bezel lightly cast and chased with flowers and foliate strapwork, square hinge, loose ring pendant. D. Silver, with radial Roman numerals and half and quarterhour divisions, foliate center. Blued-steel hand. M. 42 mm, hinged gilt brass full-plate with divided Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, short flat balance spring, fine gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with inhabited foliage and a central mask, the upper edge with Arabic regulator scale with steel lever. Movement signed. Diam. 55 mm.
