Fres. Bordier ? Cased Set of Tw o Watches and Chatelaines Fres. Bordier à Geneve, No. 46071 & No. 46422. Made circa 1790. Fine and rare, 18K gold and painted on enamel pocket watch and an 18K gold and enamel, quarterrepeating pocket watch and two fine gold and painted on enamel chatelaines with keys and seals en suite. Accompanied by an 18th century morocco covered fitted box.

A C. Two-body, Louis XVI, the bezel decorated with royal blue and white enamel and gold paillons, the back engraved with a coastal view with a boat in the foreground. Three-strand long chatelaine, the lower panel with finely painted on enamel cherub at the altar of love, key, seal and two tassels. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions and Arabic 15-minute numerals. Pearl-set gold hands. M . 36 mm., matte gilt, full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial, repeating on a bell in the back of the case activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 47 mm. B C. Two-body, Louis XVI, the bezel decorated with royal blue and white enamel and gold paillons, the back with a painted on enamel scene of a young couple in an arbor with gold paillon and blue and white enamel border. Three-strand long chatelaine, the lower panel with finely painted on enamel cherub in a landscape, key, seal and two tassels. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions and Arabic 15-minute numerals. Gold Breguet hands. M . 39 mm., matte gilt, full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 47 mm.
