Swiss - Quarter Repeater & Independent Stop-Seconds Swiss, No. 15063. Made circa 1880. Fine and rare, quarter-repeating, two-train, 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased pocket watch with independent stop-dead seconds.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", polished, button at 12 for the stop-seconds. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic numerals at 5 minute intervals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. M. 19''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 40 jewels, two-train with tandem winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Case numbered. Diam. 53 mm.
