Gabus ? Grande Sonnerie Clockwatch with Trip Minute-Repeating for the Russian Market W. Gabus, Locle, No. 4652. Made for the Russian market, circa 1890. Fine and very rare, two-train, Grande Sonnerie striking and trip minute-repeating with three hammers on three gongs, 14K rose gold, hunting cased, keyless pocket watch.

C. Four body, "bassine", engine-turned with polished borders. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel, with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hands. M. 19''', frosted gilt, double train with differential winding, 30 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, striking the hours and quarters on three gongs with three stacked hammers, Silence/ Sonnerie selection lever on the bezel border, repeating activated by a push piece in the band. Dial and cuvette signed in Cyrillic. Diam. 55 mm.
