Jacot & Bovy ? 8-Day Keyless Watch with Calendar & Moon Phases Jacot & Bovy, Swiss, "Octomere", No. 2354. Made circa 1890. Fine and very rare, large, silver, 8-day going pocket watch with unusual mainspring housing incorporating keyless winding to Swiss patent No. 496497, triple-date calendar and moon phases.

C. Three-body, bassine, polished. D. White enamel with bold radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the date, days of the week, the months and the seconds, aperture for the moon phases. Blued steel poire hands. M. 58 mm., matte gilt, full plate, large glazed and ratcheted housing for the visible mainspring with folding winding flange mounted on the backplate, jeweled straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator protruding under the bezel. Movement signed beneath the calendar plate and punched with the patent number. Diam. 66 mm.
