Notes

The use of plique à jour enamel is very unusual in a watch. The technique gives the effect of stained glass when held against the light. This is achieved by the cutting out of the design in the gold, then the design is filled with enamel forming a ?window? of suspended enamel. The technique is difficult and requires that the artisan be highly skilled.
