Hermès Lantern Clock & Weather Station Hermès, Paris, No. 2874. Made circa 1940. Fine, rare and unusual, 4-sided, steel and gilt brass, 8-day going desk clock in the form of a lantern with barometer, thermometer and hygrometer dials.

C. Lantern-form, revolving on a bracket and U-shaped base, the sides with dials for barometer, thermometer and hygrometer, circular stepped finial. D. Brushed gilt with engraved black upright Roman numerals. Steel baton hands. M. Rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed Hermès. Dim. 28 x 13.8 cm.
