C. Gilt-brass with serpentine front, swinging pierced leafdecorated door panels, leaf handle and bun feet. D. Square, painted on enamel in the Limoges style with a lady in her garden, a young couple looking on, over-applied silvered chapter ring with baton indexes and Roman quarterhour numerals. White metal fleur de lys hands. M. 8-day, nickel, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, rack regulator. Dial and movement signed. Dim. height 18 cm., width 16.5 cm., depth 5.7 cm.
