The Miniature Musical Organ Cabinet Austrian, probably Vienna. Made circa 1870. Fine and rare, musical, painted on enamel, ebonised wood and gilt brass table cabinet in the form of a chamber organ with two concealed drawers.
C. In the form of a chamber organ, sprung and hinged doors with gilt-brass faux organ pipes, opened by depressing a button on the top, gilt brass mounts and scroll feet, the arch-top cabinet set with 11 painted on enamel plaques depicting various scenes of Venus, Cupid and Minerva amongst the clouds, drawer below set with a further plaque, two further internal drawers with enamel plaques to the front, the gilt-brass interior of the doors engraved with foliage, five gilt-brass cherub finials. M. Brass with pinned cylinder, single steel comb with tuned teeth, fly governor, activated by a button on the lower righthand side of the cabinet. Dim. 21 x 12.3 x 9.5 cm.
