Reguillon - Half Quarter-Repeating Gold Portrait Watch Pierre Reguillon à Geneve. Made circa 1780. Fine and rare, half quarter-repeating, pair-cased, varicolored gold and rose-cut diamond-set pocket watch with a painted on enamel portrait of a young lady.

Outer: Two-body, Louis XVI, bezel engraved with a guilloche pattern and set with rose-cut diamonds, the back set with an oval painted on enamel portrait of a lady in a green translucent and white and gold enamel border, rose-cut diamond set frame with ribbon cresting, chased varicolored gold laurel border. Inner: Two-body, bassine, the band pierced and engraved with foliage and a mask. Gilt dust cover. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and large Arabic five-minute numerals. Rose-cut diamond-set hands. M. 29 mm., gilt brass, full plate with fuse and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance with flat balance spring, balance cock with single foot, silver regulation dial. Dial, dust cap and movement signed. Diam. 43 mm.
