Dane ? Royal Blue Enamel Dane, London, No. 474. Made circa 1790. Very fine and rare, 18K gold and enamel pocket watch with a fancy gold chain and lapis key.
C. Two-body, hinged and sprung bezel decorated with translucent royal blue and white champlevé enamel repeated triangular pattern, pendant and bow decorated to match, the back set with a translucent royal blue enamel panel over engine-turning, outer border to match the bezel. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold arrow hands. M. 38 mm., matte gilt, full plate, cylindrical pillars, fuse with chain, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance, flat balance spring, single footed balance cock finely pierced and engraved with foliage, silver regulation dial. Movement signed. Diam. 53 mm.
