L?Epée - Foliate Carriage Clock L?Epée, France, No. 74. Made in a limited number in the late 20th century. Fine, gilt brass, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm. Accompanied by a L?Epée box and key.

C. Gilt brass, "anglaise", engraved top, base and columns, glazed sides and back door, the top glazed to view the escapement, hinged carrying handle. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, Arabic five-minute numerals, alarm setting dial below, pierced and engraved flower mask over a polished backplate. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Rectangular, gilt brass, four pillars, barrel for the going and striking trains, 11 jewels, straight-line lever escapement mounted on a frosted gilt platform, monometallic balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed, case numbered. Dim. 15.2 x 10 x 9 cm. excluding handle
